In plenty of time for Valentine's day, I present my character Wraith in an image loaded with symbolism!

I'll give you a few hints... First off, the composition is a nod to Mucha so I had an Art Nouveau theme in mind when I did this. That being said it was a necessity to incorporate textiles and flowers into the image. The giant metallic roses have the same symbolic meaning as your garden variety rose- love, passion, devotion, and all that. The ring represents unity, no surprises there. The background shows the infinity of space which is, of course, a symbol for eternity. You can go ahead and analyze the rest.

So this is a combination of ink, markers, and watercolours... Oh, and my wonderful white paint marker. Yay!

And yes, this took me forever.
